🇺🇸 Labor Day — Honoring the Hands That Built America
Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It is a day rooted in American labor history, created to recognize the workers whose skill, determination, and perseverance helped build our nation.
The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City on September 5, 1882, and in 1894, Labor Day became a federal holiday. It remains a time to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers.
And in the needlearts, we have a special appreciation for work done by hand. 🪡❤️
For generations, skilled hands have stitched, sewn, woven, painted, designed, and created—passing traditions and craftsmanship from one generation to the next.
This Labor Day, we celebrate the dignity of work, the value of craftsmanship, and the hands—past and present—that continue to create something worth preserving.
🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Creative Needlearts.
May your day include a little rest, a little gratitude…and, of course, a little stitching.
