Today, I stand with our Black Stars as they step onto that Boston stage. The same courage it takes to represent a nation on a world stage is the same courage that drives my mission — uplifting women, preserving culture, and showing the world what Ghana is made of.

Tonight reminded me of something important.

Sometimes the blessing isn’t in fitting in. It’s in having the courage to stand out.

I almost played it safe. I almost chose the jeans. I almost toned it down.

Instead, I wore the colors. I wore the culture. I wore the outfit that felt most like me.

And all night I heard:

“I just saw your shoes. I love you!”

“Girl, leave that whole outfit here.”

“You look amazing.”

“Where did you get that from?”

“Baby, yeeess!”

And my favorite compliment of the night:

“You look cute, hun! Like you own it!”

That one stuck with me.

Because the truth is, she wasn’t talking about the outfit. She was talking about the confidence.

The older I get, the more I realize that people are drawn to authenticity. They’re drawn to people who are comfortable being themselves. People who stop apologizing for taking up space. People who stop waiting for permission to shine.

Tonight I walked into MGM alone.

Not lonely. Not lacking. Not waiting.

Just enjoying the experience, embracing who I am, and showing up fully as myself.

And maybe that’s the lesson.

Own your story.
Own your gifts.
Own your journey.
Own your seat at the table.

Own it.

Because when you do, people notice.

I am honored to announce that I will be representing Ghana at the Miss Black International Ambassador Pageant in Belize this August 2026!

This opportunity means so much to me. As Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen) of Pokrom Nsabaa, Ghana, I have committed myself to supporting education, economic development, and community initiatives that create lasting change. Standing on this international stage allows me to share the beauty, culture, and resilience of Ghana while highlighting the work still being done in the communities I serve.

Many people see the crown, but behind every crown is a woman investing her time, energy, resources, and heart into a purpose greater than herself.

I am currently raising funds to help cover pageant expenses, travel, wardrobe, promotional materials, and other costs associated with representing Ghana internationally.
