We just had a MASSIVE amount of very vintage cookbook/cooking magazines come in. I have no room, and I don't want to put them in the trash. Someone please come and give them a good home. 20.00 and take them all! 9 boxes and a bunch loose.

Hours have been really rocky the month of June and it looks like part of July will also be rocky . I want to apologize and explain. On June 4 I broke my foot so badly I needed surgery. While I was in the hospital I got a bone infection and pneumonia. I was in the hospital for ten days and on oxygen 2 weeks after that. Recovery has been slow. Between multiple dr. Appointments and wound care appointments, we have been closed a lot, sometimes half days and sometimes all day. I am back to work in between doctor appointments, but sometimes I just run out of steam at the end of the day and close early. I apologize to the customers I missed. Every day is better though. Please call the bookstore at 864-5650 to make sure we are open if needed. Thank you so much and I really appreciate my customers.

Thanks to everyone for their patience. We will be reopening on Monday April 27. We will have temporary hours of 10 AM to 4 PM. I must ask that we use safe practices like using a mask if you have one, maintaining social distancing, and trying not to linger longer than necessary for the well being of all. We will be sanitizing often. I thank you and welcome everybody back!! Angela

This is it folks! I am closing until further notice on Saturday at 5 PM. If you haven't stocked up, please do so in the next 2 days. I will give good extra discounts on "Stock Up" orders to help get thru the next few weeks. I am not happy about closing, but I can no longer risk bringing Covid 19 home to my Mom. Heads up to everyone. Gulfport has a curfew, and is ordering non essential businesses to close. I may fall into that category, even tho I have only a few people in at a time. Please come in to stock up if you need to. I am trying to stay open until the end of the week at least. I literally have packages arriving every day this week. Call before coming in to make sure i am open. I am hanging on as long as I can. Its not like i have anything better to do! LOL😄

We are open, God willing and the Corona don't come! That being said, I advise everyone who needs to, to come in and stock up. I think it will be coming shortly that we will be ordered to close. Be assured that we are sanitizing often, and very much appreciate our customers. Be Safe !! PS Need newspaper, and will tip with a book if you bring in a good amount
