🧵 **Wait…you can embroider THAT?!**

When most people think of embroidery, they probably picture a polo shirt, hat or maybe a towel with someone's name on it.

But embroidery can be SO much more than that!

Over the years, I've personalized everything from blankets and bags to stuffed animals, wreath sashes, baby gifts, keepsakes and all sorts of things people have brought to me and said…

**“Do you think you could embroider this?”** 😂

And honestly, those are some of my favorite projects!

Sometimes all it takes is adding a name, monogram, special date, meaningful saying or little design to turn an ordinary item into something completely unique. ❤️

That's one of the things I love about embroidery—once you start looking at everyday things differently, the possibilities are pretty amazing.

🎁 5 Personalized Gift Ideas for the Person Who Has Everything

We all have those people on our holiday lists who insist, “I don't need anything!” 😂

So instead of trying to find them *more stuff*, think about giving them something useful, personal or connected to something they love.

Here are 5 ideas to get you thinking:

🧵 1. Something they already use—but personalized.
A tote, cosmetic bag, golf towel, kitchen towel, sweatshirt or travel bag becomes a lot more special with a name, monogram or design chosen just for them.

🐾 2. Something celebrating what they love.
Their dog, favorite hobby, sport, lake house, garden, team or even a favorite saying can inspire a really fun gift.

❤️ 3. Something that preserves a memory.
A handwritten recipe, signature, special date or meaningful phrase can sometimes be turned into embroidery and become a keepsake.

🏡 4. Something for their home.
Think personalized towels, pillows, blankets, seasonal décor or something they can bring out year after year.

😂 5. Something that makes them laugh.
Personalization doesn't always have to be sentimental! An inside joke, funny saying or nickname can make an ordinary item one of their favorite gifts.

Or, even worse, when you ask what they want, they say, “I don't know.” 🤦‍♀️

Sometimes that's where a personalized gift can be perfect. Instead of trying to find something they need, you can create something that connects to who they are—their family, hobby, pet, favorite saying, special memory…whatever makes them them. ❤️

🎄 Believe it or not…THIS is when personalized holiday gifts begin! 🧵

It may only be September, but behind the scenes, holiday stitching starts long before the Christmas music does. 😊

One thing people don't always realize about personalized gifts is that they take a little extra time. There's choosing the item, finding or creating the right design, selecting the font and thread colors, getting everything positioned just right…and THEN the stitching begins!

And today's project is a perfect example of how one little personalized detail can completely transform something. ❤️

I'm busy embroidering these adorable bags for a local cheerleading group! 📣 A customer found the bags and asked me to embroider each girl's name on hers.

How cute are these?! 😍

The bags were already adorable, but adding each girl's name gives them that extra special touch—and now there's definitely no wondering whose bag is whose!

That's one of my favorite things about embroidery. You don't always have to start with something elaborate. Sometimes it's simply taking a great item you've already found and adding the little detail that makes it uniquely *theirs*. 🧵❤️

And yes…while I'm stitching cheer bags today, I'm also starting to think about all those holiday projects that will be heading to the machine before we know it! 🎄

🍂 The 3-2-1 Rule for Stress-Free Personalized Holiday Gifts 🎄

I know, I know…it's only September! 😆 But if personalized gifts are part of your holiday plans, now is actually the perfect time to start thinking about them.

Personalized gifts take a little more planning because you're choosing something specifically for that person—the item, design, colors, wording and all those little details that make it theirs. ❤️

So here's my simple 3-2-1 Rule:

🎁 3 months out: Start your gift list and gather ideas.

🧵 2 months out: Decide what you'd like personalized and place your custom orders.

🎄 1 month out: Wrap your gifts, relax and actually ENJOY the holiday season!

Because nobody needs the stress of realizing on December 20th that the perfect gift still needs to be made. 😂

Future-you will be very happy you started early. 😊

🐾 Remember Kacey? 🐾

A little while ago, I asked you to share photos of your adorable pups for a Stitch Flair contest. I had a new embroidery design I was dying to try, but I kept the prize a secret. 🤫

Well…Kacey won, her surprise has officially been delivered, and now I can finally show you what I made! ❤️

Kacey got her very own embroidered dish towel! 🐶

I used her photo as inspiration and chose a pup design that reminded me of her — right down to those adorable ears! I had so much fun putting this together and keeping it a surprise.

Thank you to Kacey’s mom for playing along and trusting me with the mystery prize! 😂❤️

And I have to say…I think Kacey looks pretty darn cute on a towel.

Calling all dog lovers! I have a brand-new embroidery design that is so adorable I just *have* to stitch it out...but there's one little problem...

🤦‍♀️ I don't have a dog!

So I need YOUR help!
