...and the second and final customer who stiffed me...

A king size quilt (42 squares) - the top was complete and I sent her the balance and received this:

Ingrid R (I doubt she follows me, but it would not benefit me to disclose her full name. I do feel bad for her daughter, who lost 42 fun shirts because of her mom's decision)

This quilt top is about to be finished and donated to a shelter.

I had a wonderful career and created well over 2500 quilts. However, there are two customers who refused to pay for my services. I still have these quilts, and they will eventually be given to a homeless shelter. This is one. Mason is a local guy, graduated about 10 years ago from Grant. I'm sorry you don't have your king sized, double batted quilt, Mason. It's one of my favorites.

Quote from his mom's email: "I appreciate your beautiful work, and am sure it's worth every penny you are asking for it, but I can absolutely not afford to spend that much. I can offer you $200 cash and it would be a wonderful Christmas gift for him....especially since he no longer plays baseball."

I'm retiring from quilting at the end of 2025! I'm happy to make your quilt this year, but the price of fabric is skyrocketing and I don't plan on adding to my inventory. Some colors may not be available as the year progresses. Thank you to all my wonderful customers, especially to those for whom I've made several quilts!
