We are preparing to break ground on an affordable home for our next Habitat homeowner right here in Washington County. But we can’t build it without you.

On July 31, 2026, Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, together with our Board of Directors and America’s Hauling for Hope, had the honor of welcoming Eric, a Marine veteran, and his children home.

This was more than a home dedication. It was the beginning of a new chapter built on hard work, partnership, and hope. Through Habitat’s homeownership program, Eric will purchase his home with a zero percent interest mortgage, making affordable homeownership possible for his family.

To make their first day even more special, America’s Hauling for Hope generously filled Eric’s kitchen cabinets and refrigerator with food, ensuring they could settle into their new home with one less worry.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who made this day possible. Together, we are building strength, stability, self-reliance, and brighter futures—one home at a time.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine to volunteer with us!

They spent the day lending a hand at our ReStore and helping build a shed for one of our future homeowners. 🔨🏡 We’re incredibly grateful for their time, energy, and willingness to give back to our community.
