When I opened SWEET55 12 years ago, I wanted to build a local community around Swiss chocolates and confections.
As we've grown, so has people’s curiosity about the business. I get so many questions about why I started the business, how I built it over time, and what a typical day in our kitchen looks like (hint: It doesn’t exist).
I love that so many of you are interested in learning more about our story, so we're taking you behind the scenes with our brand new Substack!
Every week, we'll send out one newsletter with new announcements, products, and events. But this time, we'll also cover answers to your most-asked questions, from how I built the business as a 55-year-old to what my team and I are cooking up next in the SWEET55 kitchen.

What is Substack?
Substack is a platform that lets businesses like us engage with customers like you on a deeper level. In addition to our weekly newsletter, you’ll get access to our dashboard where we store every newsletter ever sent, our chat where we post updates about products, hours and events, and our video where we'll share the occasional how-to.
Do I need to do anything?
No. We'll transfer subscribers straight from our current newsletter platform (the one that sent you this email) to Substack. All you need to do is stay tuned for our first newsletter.
My inbox is already too busy.
Since Substack is simply replacing our existing newsletter, we won’t create any clutter for you. We'll just make sure you're the first to know about product updates, store hours, and so on.
