One year ago today!!! Happy anniversary Hometown Cornershop!

It was a bit of a crazy idea to open a second shop.

But then again buying Hometown Mercantile in 2023 was also sort of a crazy idea.

Still, we knew that after just a few short years of owning the Merc we were busting at the seams a bit and it was time to do something. And when 400 Main Street become available we need it was time to leap.

We are so so glad we did as it has been so much fun! Thank you to our clients, vendors, staff, fellow shopkeepers, and everyone else who has helped us make our first year a huge success.

And happy birthday/gotcha day to Hazel, he’s sweetest white floofy dog that I took home the same day I launched Hometown Cornershop!

Can you believe it’s September ? Me neither! But then as a Coastsider, the last four months of the year are my absolute favorite. The weather, the pumpkins, the tree farm, my cheesy Hallmark movies which I always think should take place on Main Street in our beloved Half Moon Bay. And so much more.
