Matt & Jenn Lauder History:
Matt is the artist combined with Jenn's love of color, stained glass, and family tradition makes a perfect combination. Matt enjoyed drawing in his younger days and he fills our house with fun and unique decor. Jenn's Great Uncle Dale Grundon created stained glass ornaments at Christmas time for the Liddick family and created lamps as well as taught the art of stained glass in Mt. Shortly thereafter, they were looking for a hobby. They both shared an interest in stained glass and decided to take a class at Rainbow Vision Stained Glass in Harrisburg, PA. Knowing that Jenn's Uncle Dale frequently visited the shop for supplies, Jenn decided to name drop during their first class. After many years since Jenn's Uncle passed, it would be hard to believe they would remember but it was worth a try. When Jenn asked the instructor if she knew her Uncle, she said she didn't know of him personally but she knows the person who bought his glass and she's selling it because she's moving. Jenn immediately texted her Mom during class to contact her former coworker who bought the glass years ago. Within days, Uncle Dale's glass stash was back in the family's hands and we are continuing the tradition. Or something else? I'll leave it up to you to decide.😉

Our Thermo Fisher Pride theme this year is Connection Across Borders. I had made my Pride themed hex glass piece to hang at my desk at work. I posted it on our Teams Pride chat at work for everyone to enjoy and show my support. As far as we know, our work has never been copied, duplicated, or used as an inspiration for another persons artwork. Well that has just changed and we finally made it to the big time. We've gone global! A trio of fellow employees enjoyed the hex piece so much that they used it for their own office theme. Happy Pride month from all the way down in Lima Peru!!! Looks fantastic! Hopefully it will get to stay up all year.

Made my 2nd Thermo Fisher inspired hexagon piece for Pride month! Looks like it will be an annual thing now. I like the big splash of color to brighten up the bland office setting. I 5S'd that section of my desk for all of my cool art pieces I got from family, friends, and myself. Still some room for more though. The bland harsh working area is kept separate from distractions and not picture worthy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and fun time celebrating Pride month. Try not to let the harsh social climate bring you down. There are alot more kind and accepting people out there than you may realize. The ignorant and obnoxious haters are loud but they are in the minority.

Keep supporting! Dont be hating!

Everyone is invited to the Art Association of Harrisburg next Friday 16th at 5:00pm for their reception for the Figuratively Speaking exhibition. We are brand new members and have entered two pieces from our personal collection into the show. Everyone should be familiar with them as we have posted pics on our page in the past. They are our favorite pieces and they look even better in person. So come on over and enjoy the festivities. Looking forward to seeing you there!
