This brace fit me perfectly. This helps me tremendously, compression feels good. I am female 5' 3", 155lbs. My legs are fairly small and fit is good. My thigh measurement 4" above knee is 15 1/2" diameter. 4" below my knee is 14". I have used a brace by same maker for the past 15 years on and off and loved it. The velcro was wearing out and it was time for a new one. Glad I purchased this new brace, its worth the money. I will keep my old one for a back up just in case.

I am perhaps a year away from knee replacement. This brace helps hold my bones in alignment. I have tried a few other braces and this is the one I have settled on. It has an open back so it doesn't bunch behind the knee. It is relatively slim so fits under my dress pants. ( the Mueller braces with the metal hinges are a little better support but those get tight under some of my dress pants). Note that some of these with the same part number do not have the metal springs sewn into the sides. Without the springs, they bunch together so you have to look for assurance that they come with the steel reinforcements.

This support has been the best thing ever for my arthritic knee/chondromalacia. Dr says I need a replacement, I went from needing advil and not being able to sleep from the pain, to no meds and sleeping/walking with min/no pain. It's adjustable for individual comfort, I do need to put a t-shirt layer around the back as sometimes the velcro irritates my skin. It's easy to put on & off with the velcro straps.

This knee brace is meant to adjust between small and large sizes but unfortunately I found that even though it "should" have fit me, it was just too large. If I could somehow have adjusted the "self-adjusting" cross pieces that would have helped but as is they are a superfluous bit of engineering. The design idea of pockets for the hinges is again a good concept, but not as functional as one would hope. So I did my best to adjust fit through the only option left to me, tightening the Velcro straps. But as I have to pull them too far to make it fit, there's not much room to stick them to, and then when I move the straps pop loose which defeats the whole purpose.
It's especially frustrating bc I have torn both medial and lateral meniscus on right knee a few years ago and have not been able to afford my share of costs for surgery yet ( had to prioritize a shoulder reconstruction- full thickness supraspinatus tear and 3 cm separation, detached long head biceps tendon, detached infraspinatus... Sigh). Anyway
Obviously had high hopes this brace would carry me through.
With all of that said, as someone who used to teach human anatomy ( yes human cadaver dissection) I can tell that a lot of thought went into the design of this brace. For the price, it's probably about the best you can get. Just make sure you're not aren't at one of the far ends of the size distribution. The hinges seem adequate and well placed for stability, the patellar ring is appropriately sized and located and of comfortable material. It's not going to last forever but for most people it should be adequate to get by until your situation resolves through therapy, surgery, or time.
