picture this: you risk everything on a your dream- you pour yourself into creating a space, you spend hours upon hours curating, contemplating, conceptualizing.. some days are the best of your life- and some days you question your own vision. now it’s a random Friday, you’ve just opened your doors for the day. it’s 5 minutes into opening and you greet a customer. she greets you back and tells you she times her coffee just for the occasion of visiting your shop. the best- coffee & a shop. she is taking her time in this space. you notice! it’s your favorite thing- people taking it all in and lingering in the space, vibing. she goes shelf by shelf, kneeling on the floor, scanning every item- coffee in hand. i am struck by this, it’s one of the most impactful compliments i could get, one done in action and not by mouth. i ask if i can take her picture- she says of course and says, “I just really vibe in here,” suddenly, im reminded of my vision. im reminded of my original statement for this place, “my people will find me,” and they have. ❤️
