When you're choosing carpet color and texture for a dining or living area, test it in the actual lighting of the room, not just under the showroom lights. 💡

Natural light, warm lamp light, and overhead lighting can all make the same carpet look completely different. A sample that looks like a warm oat in the store might read as cool gray in your north-facing room.

Laminate vs LVP. Same look, very different performance. Here's what actually separates them. 🤔

🪵 Laminate has a wood composite core. It looks beautiful and is budget-friendly, but it is NOT waterproof. Standing water can cause it to swell and warp.

💧 LVP is 100% vinyl all the way through, making it completely waterproof and a better fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements.

🦶 Feel: LVP is slightly softer and quieter underfoot. Laminate can sound hollow without quality underlayment.

Neither is the wrong choice. It just depends on the room and how your household lives.
