We're coming up on the end of the school year and you know what I appreciate wildly?

Teachers.

They help, and even sometimes mostly raise, our kiddos. When parents can't or won't be available, teachers step up. They are our kiddo's shoulders to lean on. They are the patience a child needs to work through something. They buy/stock up on clothes and snacks, often with their own funds. They try to create a room that fits all of their kid's needs like fidget seats, fidget toys and bean bag chairs. They're sometimes hit, kicked, punched, yelled at, etc. They teach our children safety even when their own safety isn't taken in to account. Then they get paid less than most while being accused of "having an entire summer vacation" even though most teachers I know still work over the summer....because they have to.

But they show up every day not only for our kiddos, but for us. I will always hold a special place in my heart for teachers, especially the teachers who I know personally and who have taken amazing care of my kiddo.

If you're looking for an end of year gift for your kiddo's teacher, your fellow teacher, or a teacher you just know and appreciate, let me know. There's the vendor market today but also a card show! There are TONS of tables of all different collectable cards here.

Come get a dirty soda at Pit Stop Pop, have a tasting of Handlebar Whiskey (SO good!), sample some delicious BBQ sauce at Buffalo Barbecue Quest and stock up on your simmers!
