The language of Flowers was a form of unspoken communication and its usage dates back before the Victorians used it.

Each week I will post a Flower. What it represents in Victorian times, it’s energetic quality, healing qualities etc

ANTHURIUM
Botanical name- Anthurium spp.
Common name- Flamingo Lily

Victorian Meaning- Anthuriums are often associated with hospitality due to their large, open leaves. They are also linked to abundance and happiness, making them a popular choice for home decor and floral arrangements.

Energetic properties-Enhancing passion, love ❤️ and Romance; increasing sensuality; spreading the word of love. Makes for a good Valentine's Day gift

AGAPANTHUS
Botanical name-Agapanthus praecox

Victorian meaning- the "flower of love", an emblem of beauty, purity & fertility.

Energetic Quality- environmental healing, balancing the energy of the earth, healing global issues encasing the entire situation with love, releasing addictions, clearing habits , removing belief patterns, and granting wishes.
Healing-Agapanthus Flower looks like a large ball. They come in either purple or white; both colors bring the same healing energy. The vibration is that of global healing, which is hinted at in the globe like shape of the flower head. This flower is excellent at healing and regulating the energy of the earth especially as we go thru transition phases.

AFRICAN VIOLET
Botanical name-Saintpaulia
Symbolizes Faithfulness, Humility and Chastity
The color also added meaning to the message:
Purple-“I will always be there” & represents spirituality
Cream- “Let’s take a chance”
Blue- Represents peace
Pink- Represents Innocense
White- Represents Purity

Energetic Quality- Cleansing, purification and transmuting energy from low to high.
Healing-African Violets are wonderful for healers and psychics because they are excellent cleansers of old, heavy energies. They are great at cleaning spaces at home and offices

KEEPING CHRISTMAS
Are you willing…..To forget what you have done for other people and to remember what other people have done for you? To ignore what the world owes you, and to think what you owe the world?

To put your rights in the background, and your duties in the middle distance, and your chances to do a little more than your duty in the foreground?

To see that men and women are just as real as you are, and try to look behind their faces to their hearts, hungry for joy?

To own up to the fact that probably the only good reason for your existence is not what you are going to get out of life, but what you are going to give to life?

To close your book of complaints against the management of the Universe and look around you for a place where you can sow a few seeds of happiness?

I am clearing old stock that has been stored for years from Gifts of Gaia. I will post items here for the next couple weeks. This item is FREE. I have two of them. It would make a great gift. It is a round globe with a candle. Nice messages written on the globe. Has its own gift box.
If you want to donate anything for it, I will make a contribution to a pantry or put towards a toy 🧸 for a child for Xmas. ( it is not mandatory)

Just received notice that Taino teacher Miguel Sague will be in town July 8th and 9th.

Taino Elder Miguel Sague willl be in the Western New York area on the weekend of July 8 & 9. Miguel is at the forefront of preserving Taino spirituality. He is the leader of the Caney Indian Spiritual Circle and founder of the Indigenous Caribbean Network.​ For more information, please check out caneycircle.owlweb.org and indigenouscaribbean.ning.com.

Scheduled events include:

Musical performance at the Fredonia Farmers Market, 10 am, Sat. July 8;
Presentation on Taino history and spirituality at the Literacy Bookstore in Dunkirk, 3-4, Sat. July 8;

Sweat Lodge and ceremony at Lily Dale Sunday July 9, 5 pm. You are invited to come to the ceremony and teachings on the beach even if you prefer not to join us in the lodge. Please bring a dish to share for after the lodge. Donations accepted to help defray travel costs.
Miguel will be promoting his newly released book, Canoa, Taino Indigenous River Journey, and copies of this will be available for sale.
