Our business relies on our customers bringing in there gently used books

Here it is :

Book Trade-In Guidelines & Store Credit Policy
We’re happy to accept your gently used books in exchange for store credit—a great way to keep your shelves fresh and support our shop. Please read the following guidelines before bringing in books:
🌿 Condition Guidelines
All trade-ins must be:
Clean and in good condition

Free of mildew, water damage, rips, or missing pages

Hardcovers must have their original dust jackets

We do not accept:
Magazines

Reader’s Digest

Encyclopedias

CDs or audiobooks

Coloring books

Series romance paperbacks

We may pass on books if we already have too many copies—even if they’re in great shape.

💰 Store Credit (No Cash Offered)
We do not offer cash for books, but we do offer store credit, which can be used on any used books in the store.
Here’s how credit works:
You receive 20% of our in store sale price in store credit.

Example: A book priced at $3.00 earns you $.60 in credit

When you use your store credit, the sale is always 50/50:
Half the price comes from your credit

Half is paid in cash/card

Example: A $5.00 used book = $2.50 from your credit, $2.50 out of pocket the rest of your credit will be saved and you can use it on your next visit.

📦 Bringing in Books
Weekdays are the best time to bring in books, especially in the late afternoon. On Saturdays, we may not be able to process your books while you wait. Please leave your books in their bag or box, we will label them with the name on your account.
We catalog all books into our inventory and track your credit and requests.

📚 Donations & Returns
Sometimes we can’t accept every book. If we don’t take a book, we’re happy to donate it on your behalf to local charities—primarily to Goodwill of WNY.
If you’d prefer to take any unaccepted books home, please wait until we finish reviewing your drop-off.
Please note: Books left for later pickup will be donated by end of day—we simply don’t have storage space.

🔁 A Few Final Notes
Store credit can only be used on used books — think of it as used-for-used

Credit cannot be used on new books or gifts

Any family member can use your credit just let them know you have an account and they can tell us at the counter.
