The Barn Sale, Inc., is Connecticut’s oldest consignment shop and needs your help during this economic challenge! Your tax-deductible donations, consignments, and purchases are the lifeblood of our mission—to donate all profits to local charities. The idea began in 1966 with three women who watched the motion picture, Hope in Peru. The women, Grace Bove, Happi Humphrey, and Rhoda Reigeluth, began fundraising as “The S. Hope,” later renamed “The Barn Sale, Inc.” The hard-working, all-volunteer veteran staff continues the mission by selling new and merchandise that have been consigned or donated. Our loyal donors and generous clientele are all feeling the economic crunch. When looking for great places to shop, consign, or donate your goods, please know that you help The Barn Sale, Inc., to be effective in the local community. Come by or call for hours and consignment appointments. Visit old friends, make new ones, and find unique gifts.
