Red Barn Bicycles

Red Barn Bicycles Red Barn Bicycles, a small and quaint bike shop located in lovely Bitterroot Valley of Montana. Please view our gallery of recent bike rides and bike builds.

Here at Red Barn Bicycles we love building high-quality, custom mountain and road bikes. We enjoy working with each customer personally to build a bike that fits their specific needs. An important upgrade would include a set our hand built wheels using high-quality hubs spokes, nipples and rims. Montana is rough country and we build and ride bikes that work well in the Rocky Mountains.

We recently took a little schwinn kids bike in on a trade. We'd like to give it away to a family here in the Bitterroot Valley in need of a nice little bike. 18"wheels. Probably for a child in that 3-6 year age. Bike works great, solid tires....good to pedal !

About a month ago we hosted the inaugural Get Lost Gravel bike race and i'm just now getting around to posting a little bit about it. First and foremost, i really wanted to send out a huge round of applause to you all.... the riders, the organizers, and the incredible amount of support from our volunteers. Without you all, cool stuff like this doesn't happen. Hats off to you all ! And lastly on the thank you bus.....a special kudos to Ariel, the gal who made everything look very good. A trained eye is so valuable and we all want to thank you for your hard work with graphic design.

The event was a fundraiser for two incredible local organizations. The Play Like Robert Foundation and our local MTB advocacy group, Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclists. Please take a second of your time to get to know these two organizations. Please support them further if you can.

With the help of you all we were able to raise $4000 and we split the proceeds evenly amongst the two. Thank-you all again !! Great job. Those funds will go directly into building more local trails. Yay!

I hope all of you that participated come back again....yes, i said again. We're definitely already planning the 2nd annual. And i hope you had a blast on the route....i know it was challenging. We wanted it that way. I know a few of you got injured and it sucks to see that happen.....i hope you heal(ed) quickly and get back in the saddle. I've had my ear open to opinions of the course and by large and far consensus was that the route was fun, hard, and a few even gave praise that it was one of the best routes ever ridden, we'll take that and i think its that good too. With that being said, we promise to not make it any harder. I think it's close to being dialed as it is. Please let us know your thoughts how we can make the event even better, we're listening and very open to suggestions. As a spectator i was humbled as each of you crossed the finish line, i was able to witness some of the most incredible smiles on that beautiful Sunday afternoon.

For those of you on the fence for next year....you can do it !! We're pulling for you. And we're also going to be very stoked by all of you that sign up for it again.

Lastly, a selection of my favorite photos. Super cool to have so many of you out there with cameras documenting this for us. I want to say thanks to those folks as well.

Super fun weekend and it was so good to see you all, can't wait until next year !

thanks friends my cup is full !

Very excited as part of BBC to be bringing a fun, exciting, challenging event to the Bitterroot Valley. Inaugural non profit event that raises funds for the Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclist and the Play Like Robert Foudation. Both organizations committed to making new trails in our forests and town. New bike skills and pump track are already underway. New trails around como, new bike path along golf course road. Let's keep up the momentum....come ride with us on Aug 2-3

Also looking for volunteers for the event if riding or racing isn't in your cards this year. Come see what the event is about by staffing an aid station, mechanical support or ringing cowbell.

Early bird sign up on Feb 15th
