Hammonton’s past is coming back to life this October at Stars, Stripes & Spirits! Haunted Hammonton Ghost Stories on Friday, October 16 👀👻🇺🇸

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s Haunted Hammonton takes a patriotic turn, inviting guests to step into the history of our nation and hear the stories of spirits who helped shape it, including tales connected to World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War.

The free, family-friendly walking tour will start and end behind Cream Café, with a new group departing every 15 minutes beginning at 6:00 PM. The final tour will depart at 7:45 PM. No registration or admission fee is required.

And the haunting does not end when the tour does. The event hub behind Cream Café will feature hot chocolate, c***r, popcorn, treats, games, spooky entertainment and more, giving families a place to gather before and after their tour.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore Downtown Hammonton before the tour. Visit

✨ September 19 marked 42 years since former President Ronald Reagan visited Hammonton, NJ on September 19, 1984, during his re-election campaign.⁠

More than 25,000 people packed the downtown area to listen to President Ronald Reagan, at the height of his political career, deliver a campaign speech. ⁠
⁠
Reagan gazed out at the sea of people, cheering wildly for him as he came to the podium on the large platform stretched across Bellevue Avenue. ⁠

At the corner of Central and Bellevue, a large granite rock with a bronze plaque and a street sign that reads “Ronald Reagan Drive,” still stands today⁠ commemorating the historic day downtown.⁠

MainStreet Hammonton invites families to celebrate a major milestone as the 20th Annual Downtown Hammonton Trick or Treat returns on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ! 🎃🍫

For 20 years, Downtown Hammonton has welcomed thousands of costumed kids, families, and even pets for an afternoon of Halloween fun. Businesses and organizations throughout Downtown will once again be handing out candy and offering activities, games, music, and more.

Downtown Hammonton’s shops and restaurants will also be open, giving trick or treaters and their families plenty of opportunities to stop in, explore, shop, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy everything Downtown has to offer!

The annual Costume Contests for kids, adults, and pets will also return! Categories include:

• Kids: Scariest, Most Creative, Best Group, Cutest
• Pets: Best Pet Costume, First and Second Place
• Adults: Best Individual and Best Group

Registration for the costume contests begins at 2 p.m. at the corner of Bellevue Avenue and Central Avenue. Contestants may enter one category.

More details about this year’s activities, participating businesses, sponsors, and anniversary additions will be announced as the event gets closer.
