Good morning everyone!!
I know it has been quite a while since we have posted, but we wanted to make you aware of some things regarding our business.
Firstly - YES we are still OPEN and taking orders via Facebook messaging!
However, we have not been doing any markets this summer as I’m sure our friends, family, and regular shoppers have noticed.
At the end of May, we lost our beloved grandmother quickly and unexpectedly to heart failure. As the only local family members, and being a young family, it’s been a challenge dealing with freshly summer released children (and all their travel plans), handle remaining affairs (including moving of belongings), home construction for other family moving in with us, and comprehend going to vendor shows during this time of additional stress all while pregnant - not to mention, our pregnancy is considered high risk. And just within the last week, we have learned that we may need to begin considering moving in my elderly parents which would require a MASSIVE home construction project.
With Michael being a disabled veteran and me not able to assist with set up for vendor events, we essentially just didn’t apply to any vendor shows. It’s all just been too much. So yes, we’ve taken a step back, but we aren’t shut down; just heavily occupied within our personal life.
That being said, we DO have a vendor show in the Wilmington area on 8/15. I will need to locate the details, however this event was booked just prior to the death of our loved one, so with pregnancy brain, I have to locate it. Beyond that, I don’t believe we are scheduled for any other markets until RIVERFEST in Wilmington.
We are due with a baby girl this Christmas: yes, 12/25. And I usually have a habit of giving birth a week or two early. This means that this year will likely be our last for vendor shows for a time and we will likely move to an online-only presence. For that, we need to find someone to create a functional and easy to navigate webspace for our company which costs money our little business currently has to use towards all the other priorities.
We ask that you please be patient with us. This has been an INCREDIBLY challenging season.
But we are here - on Facebook - and available to place orders for pick-up in Surf City, meet ups, and we do offer nationwide shipping.
Please don’t hesitate to send us a message in the mean time, and we will do our very best to accommodate and complete any possible requests. And we ask for forgiveness and grace if we fumbled with communications during these last 6 months. It’s been an incredibly overwhelming time for us and our family and we appreciate your loyalty and understanding and grace during this time.
