Here is a spring made nuc that grew very well and gave me a medium of honey in early July.
I have this one as an 8f deep and will add a second deep of drawn comb this week! We’ve had a decent fall flow as you can see from the burr comb space between the lid and then top of the frames. This is also a queen I produced here, not a purchased queen!!

What a beautiful day to work bees! Partly sunny and it was only 72!! I love mountain beekeeping.
This was a great colony and thankfully I spotted her!

I would like to thank Wes and his team at the Bristol PepperFest for a great event today. The improvements from last year were very evident and it was a great time! I’m already looking forward to next year! Keep up the good work!!!

I’m here at the State Street Farmer's Market until 12.
I’ll stay here for the Bristol PepperFest this evening from 2-7.
I have my raw honey and a nice selection of my infused honey including several hot honey selections.

I’m hanging out at the Elizabethton Farmers Market this evening until 7 selling honey.
I bought some fresh raspberries from Berry Ridge Farms.
I’m drizzling the chocolate honey on them.
My gosh……

Spending the early morning moving hives and treating for mites.
These are great looking single deeps. I decided to add a 10f med to each that’s full of honey.
I had a great year for honey production and I think this will be more valuable for these hives.
All the singles in this yard are now a deep/med configuration!

What’s this???
I decided to try chocolate honey and my gosh is this good!!
Its consistency is like brownie batter but much healthier for you!
The first ingredient listed in Nutella is sugar….
Only raw local honey and cocoa powder here!!
You can use it to replace Nutella or in your coffee!
I will have this to sample at the farmers markets this week!
I hope you’ll stop by and try a sample!
