🌊 HELP US STAND WITH PORT ALLEN’S COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN 🌊

Hurricane Lowell devastated Port Allen, leaving behind more than damaged boats and infrastructure. For the commercial fishermen who make their living from these waters, it has taken away their livelihoods and created an uncertain future.

My husband is one of those fishermen.

His boat, the Ku Mana, holds a sacred meaning that goes far beyond a direct translation of a name.

There is currently no clear timeline for when the harbor will be rebuilt, leaving hardworking fishermen and their families wondering when, or how, they will be able to return to work.

We are asking our community to stand with Port Allen.

🤙 Please share this post. Help bring awareness to the devastation and the very real impact it has had on the commercial fishing community. We want the people in positions to help understand what these families are facing and see the urgency of rebuilding and supporting our harbor.

Then, one of our favorite pieces in the entire shop: the vintage rattan armchair. This one isn’t for sale, but it is here for you to enjoy. Grab a book, listen to the music, take a seat and stay awhile.
