Happy Father’s Day to my hubby, travel buddy, dream supporter, best friend, and the father to the three best kids a mother could ask for. 🤩😍🥳

Here we are just a few days ago in London 🇬🇧, where we were visiting our daughter (who was studying there) and now today we are in Paris 🇫🇷 more pictures to come after we return from abroad!

🧼✨ A little behind-the-scenes peek into soap making!

I’ve recently upgraded my soap-making process with new slab molds and a loaf splitter, and I couldn’t be more excited! Instead of making multiple individual loaf batches, I can now pour larger soap slabs, then use the splitter to quickly and consistently turn those slabs into loaves before cutting them into bars.

What does that mean for you? More efficient use of my time, more consistency in every batch, and the ability to make more of your favorite soaps while still keeping everything handcrafted right here at Ma Petite Fleur. 💛

This week I used the new equipment to make a fresh batch of Pure Bar — one of my simplest soaps, made with just coconut oil, olive oil, distilled water, and sodium hydroxide (lye).

Now comes the waiting game! This batch will spend the next 6 weeks curing before it’s ready to go home with you.

Handmade soap may look simple, but there’s a lot of love, science, and patience behind every bar. 😊

🌸 Hello & Welcome! 🌸

We recently crossed 1,000 Facebook followers, and so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to all of the new faces joining me here.

My name is Barbara, and I am the owner and soapmaker behind Ma Petite Fleur (which means My Little Flower in French—an homage to love on all things delicate, tender, and tiny.)

After years of being a stay-at-home mom to our three wonderful children, I decided to take a chance on myself and open up this little retail store.

What started as a love for creating natural, handcrafted soap has blossomed into a little boutique filled with beautiful things I love: fresh flowers, handmade body care, thoughtful gifts, home décor, candles, seasonal treasures, and fresh baked goodies.

Every bar of soap is handcrafted by me in small batches right here in the backroom of my store in Harbor Beach. I also create custom floral arrangements, gift baskets, event favors, and custom soaps for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, businesses, vacation rentals, and more.

One of my favorite parts of owning Ma Petite Fleur is getting to know the wonderful people who walk through my door. Whether you stop in for a bouquet of flowers, a handmade soap, a special gift, or simply to say hello, I’m so grateful you’re here.
