Our specific mission remains the same: The Highway 62 Jubilee mission is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the elderly with clothing, books, music, food, birthday and holiday recognition while preserving the heritage of the gospel music a forgotten generation grew up with.

What is Project Hero 62? It's a part of the Not For Profit 501(c)(3) Highway 62 Jubilee. Approximately 76 million elderly (27 %), 60 and above live alone. Our Heroes. We search for those who have no-one. Living alone. Feeling lost, and forgotten. WE DON’T FORGET!
Adults 65 and older make up 12% of the population, they account for 18% of suicides. Some of the risk factors include loneliness, which is often attributed to loss of a spouse or partner and living far from family and friends.

Gospel music has been shown in studies to reduce depression and anxiety as well as anxiety about death.
PROJECT HERO 62 MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
We go to the homebound, nursing homes, community centers and assisted living facilities and reach out to the elderly who are in need and have no family to provide clothing, household goods, personal care items, books and birthday/Christmas gifts for celebrating with them.

Our funding comes from direct contributions and from our eBay Yard Sale Store.

What is Project Hero 62? It's a part of the Not For Profit 501(c)(3) Highway 62 Jubilee. AS OF AUGUST 2023: PROJECT HERO HAS DISTRIBUTED OVER 500 MUSIC CD’S FROM PAST JUBILEE’S, HANDED OUT AND DONATED OVER 800 BOOKS AND GIVEN OUT OVER 150 BIRTHDAY GIFTS. OUR CHRISTMAS LIST IS GROWING RAPIDLY. BY DECEMBER 1ST, WE WILL NEED TO HAVE OVER 800 PERSONAL CHRISTMAS GIFTS READY FOR SENIORS WHO ARE ALONE AND HAVE NO FAMILY. CHURCHES AND SENIOR CENTERS ARE CONTACTING US TO BE A PART OF PROJECT HERO.
