Last night I had the opportunity to participate in an absolutely amazing event at Words & Afterwords Hardy AR. The first ever Word Play Cafe in Hardy was a tremendous success. Everything from a Haiku to Things that make you go Hmmm was shared by local community members. We spent the evening demonstrating The Power of Words! with Storytelling and Songwriters as Poetry and Prose filled the air while we all enjoyed yummy snacks from Callie Hoople & Hoople Creek Sweets. If you missed last night's event, you missed out on an amazing time, but don't worry.....

Come experience The Power of Words at Words & Afterwords Hardy AR tonight Sunday September 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the first ever Word Play Cafe here in Hardy. The night will include Slam Poetry, Storytelling & Prose along with Original Songwriters.

The theme of the evening is, Maybe so or Maybe not personal narratives about choices and decisions. Snacks will be availabke from Hoople Creek Sweets

Congratulations to Kirk Dylan Moffett "Duck" for winning tonight's Spring River Got Talent with an amazing Original song and some killer banjo playing that had the audience slapping their knees. Original music swept the podium at tonight's competition with Sawyer Fleeman Music coming in second with a tear jerking original and Pete Whitehurst in third with a rocking original song. It was an awesome night of local entertainment where the judges had the toughest job of the night.

Tonight, Saturday September 12th at 6pm in the Hardy Civic Center, 12 local musicians and singers will perform in the 2026 Spring River Got Talent Competition. The winner will take home $1,000 in prize money. Definitely going to be an awesome night in the Civic Center tonight so come on down to Main Street Hardy and Come Be Interesting With Us!

Probably one of the most Interesting events that I have attended in the City of Hardy Arkansas happened tonight at the Forty Island Tavern on Main Street Hardy. Local musician Mitchell Ellenburg Kaubisch entertained a full house with gospel classics straight from the hymnal while local artist, Dewana Lynn McIntosh painted a beautiful work of art. Yep you read that right. Gospel & Art paired with Dinner & a Drink right here in Hardy. Tonight's event reminded me of exactly why I love this town.

Keep an eye out for all the cyclists in town this weekend for the 99 Miles of Bad Road Gravel Race on Saturday starting at Loberg Park. Come down to Doc Thompson on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. for a 3.6 mile Community bike ride.
