Very true!
I do enjoy having annuals adorn my deck each summer but we MUST be very careful when we interact with them and then go inside to tend to our violets.
As you can see, there are three adult thrips on this petunia and they can and will "hitchhike" on you and your pets.
My "game plan" is to work on and water my annuals first thing in the morning before I have showered or put on my clothes for the day. Once I'm finished outside, I go in and immediately remove my clothes, place them in the washing machine and immediately take a shower.
I then get into a fresh set of clothes and go attack my violet chores for the day.
Year 8 - NO THRIPS!
