Aw Yeah Comics- NY

10/28/2026

Hello, fans and friends.

We have a lot happening here at Aw Yeah Comics this week. Let's jump right in.

TODAY! New Comic Book Day, and it is a doozy. A TON of new comics. (If you are a subscriber, PLEASE come and get you comics. Our boxes are stuffed right now!)

Any adult that comes in and makes a purchase today will get three free Trick Or Read comics, while supplies last.

Our next live sale is Thursday, October 29th at 6 pm EST on the Aw Yeah Comics NY page.

Saturday, October 31st is HALLOWEEN! From 3 pm to 5 pm, we will be handing out treat bags to kids with comics and candy until we run out.

Sunday, November 1st is our next Aw Yeah Comics Market. Streetside Anthony and Cap'n James Toys will be set up out front. They will be selling from 10 am to 1pm only.

The store will open an hour early at 10 am. We're putting out another 10 short boxes of newly processed back issues. We'll also be running 30% off all regular back issues in the store (including the newly processed), and 10% off all graded comics.

Our last Aw Yeah Comics Market for the year will be Sunday, November 8th.

We also have two signings coming in November. News on those this Friday! Have a great day, everyone, and we'll see you at the she shop.

Happy Saturday, fans and friends.

Just a couple of reminders for today at the shop.

Writer Jarrett Melendez will be here signing from 2pm-4pm. We'll have plenty of copies of his graphic novels CHEF'S KISS and CHEF'S KISS AGAIN.

Then, starting at 5:30pm , it's our 18 & Up Halloween party. We'll have music, candy, treats, beverages, and conversation! Quick note... we didn't buy any b**r or w**e this time around.

We usually end up with way more than we need, and don't really have anywhere to store it. Plus, a bunch of you tend to bring your own on that front. So, we'll have water, soda, and alcohol for mixed drinks.

If you intend to drink while you are here (and really, very few of you ever do), DO NOT drive yourself here or home. Make a plan with a friend, or take a Lyft/Uber home. Be safe.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. We'll see you at the shop.

Aw Yeah!

Happy Friday, fans and friends.

As we have discussed before, Final Order Cutoff is the period in which we have our last chance to increase or decrease orders for titles that come out just a few weeks later. We are (finally) going to begin a weekly spotlight email that will highlight a few new titles we think you should check out. That will give you a chance to get back to us with a preorder or addition to your subscription. This week, we are showcasing three titles, and asking you to get us your preorder in for them by 4 pm on Sunday, October 18th. After that, we will lock in our orders. For this first go round, we will just show the main cover A, though each of the titles will have variants you can check out on League of Comic Geeks. We hope this is as helpful to you as your preorders are to us. You can message us through this page or email us at [email protected]

First up is a new series by Daniel Warren Johnson.

CHAINKATA #1

SERIES PREMIERE Luma is a chainsaw-wielding warrior queen seeking out an unknown power in the vastness of space. All she wants is to find peace… but violence and terror chase her through every black hole. Princess Mononoke meets Warhammer 40k in this high octane, sci-fi adventure poised to be the biggest launch of the year! It all begins with forty pages of story with no ads for the regular price of just $3.99!

Next up is a long awaited crossover.

SWAMP THING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #1

In a world where the fears of children manifest into living, breathing monsters, this crossover brings one of horror’s most iconic characters straight into the Slaughterverse!

James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, the superstar team behind the smash hit Something is Killing the Children, push the boundaries for the very first crossover story ever told in the fan-favorite Slaughterverse.

Two siblings who are life-long comics fans find their way to horror comics, in spite of the fears they inspire.

As the terrifying visions from the pages of the comics start to come to life, Erica Slaughter will have to hunt down one of horror’s most recognizable figures—Swamp Thing himself!

Last but not least, a legend returns to Earth. Brought to you by Jed MacKay & Rode Antonio

JEAN GREY #1

BURNING ON RE-ENTRY IN THE AFTERMATH OF DNX! The PHOENIX is headed to Earth. JEAN GREY is aflame within. When she touches down, will she consume all she touches…or will she maintain control of the life-giving, life-taking power coursing through her? Hot on the heels of DNX - a new chapter for Jean Grey and the X-MEN begins HERE AND NOW!
