Wisdom of Wild Thyme-Pilot Workshop

In this 5-week in-person journey we will work with plants, story, folk crafts and embodied, sensory experiences to help us remember what it means to live in reciprocity with the more than human world.

Excited to co-guide with Joan Foucher, a life-long plant ally and friend.

DM for dates & info. Space is limited

So very excited to partner with Beth Bradford for our very first on-the-farm workshop where we are making Hypertufa Planters and planting them with farm grown Violas.

Beth taught me last year how to make the ones you see here and the process was so fun and incredibly rewarding.

Plant with pansies, violas, geraniums or succulents and they hold up and look gorgeous in the garden, on the doorstep or to gift and brighten someone's day.

Let's use our hands and create beauty!

Join us April 4th from 9:30-11:30 and May 2nd to craft your own.

Solstice: Sun Stands Still.

These pictures are from our visit to the mysterious and awe-inducing Newgrange, Bru' Na Bo'inne, in Ireland this past September. In Ireland, a handful of humans were invited inside the 5,000 year old burial mound to witness the lighting of the altar space on this, the shortest day and longest night of the year.

This prehistoric site was built to align with sunrise on Solstice, with the suns early morning rise entering above the doors threshold, and through the opening, allowing golden light to crawl into the far depths of the cave and land upon the far reaches of one of the three interior altar spaces.

May we take comfort, through the thrum of darkness, the Sun always returns. And through the cold, warmth returns.

Solstice blessings, yuletide turns and the wheel spins 'round.

Evergreen work has begun. Awoke too early from dreamland to a cold and sad reality this morning. It feels a bit deja vu, with a similar feeling from 2016, having been timestamped into my heart and mind. Unbelievable heartbreak, disgust and fear for the future of our country and for the lives and safety of so many that I love grips me. Who are we?

I will be looking for something to hold onto to steady my faith in something beyond me, and I won't have to look beyond the greens within my hands. Evergreens hold their leaves through the storms and the snow. Their branches bend with the weight of winter and their resin is strong and clearing.

Evergreen medicine is for these times. I will keep working with, breathing with and listening to the wisdom of the Evergreen elders. How do we restore balance? How do we protect that which we love? Our lgbtq+ family, our immigrant family and friends, our black, brown and native friends? Our daughters and nieces and women who deserve choice over their bodies?

I'm dumbfounded, not shocked though, maybe because we've been here before. Remember to breathe. Put down the phone and be out of doors...in the community of woods if possible, or friends. Or just walk. Let the feelings all flow...grieving is called for. It is a sad day. A very sad day.
