Antique Victorian Fireplace Mantel with Mirror, Original Tile & Backus Gas Insert – $1,500 OBO
Beautiful antique Victorian-era fireplace ensemble, believed to date to approximately the 1890s–early 1900s.
This is a wonderful architectural salvage piece with lots of original character and detail. Included are:
• Ornate carved wood fireplace mantel
• Large matching overmantel with mirror
• Beautiful decorative floral tile surround
• Antique cast-iron fireplace insert with faux logs
• Original Backus Mfg. Co. identification plate – Williamsport, PA
• Burner marked No. 328
• All pieces shown in photos
DIMENSIONS:
Bottom fireplace/mantel section:
• 58" wide
• 51" long
• 12" deep
Top mirror/overmantel section:
• 32" high
• 52" long
• 8" deep
The fireplace is currently disassembled for storage, but I have included a photo showing how beautiful it looks when completely assembled.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an antique and the wood does need refinishing/restoration. I have purposely left it in its current condition rather than refinishing it so the new owner can restore it as they choose.
This would be absolutely beautiful restored and installed in a Victorian or historic home, bed & breakfast, restaurant, shop, or used simply as an amazing architectural statement piece.
