Hen Picked Antiques & Stained Glass Located in a historic 1853 church, Hen Picked Antiques features an eclectic mix of antiques, collectibles, gifts & gently used home & garden decor.

We also repair stained glass and carry a full line of stained glass supplies. Customer parking lot in back. We are Hen Picked Antiques, a husband-and-wife team who love to hunt for antique and vintage items to sell in our shop. We were bitten hard by the antique bug in 1993 after we purchased an old farmstead in Erin and began restoration on the farmhouse, which was built around 1906. The purchase

led to an interest in antique and historical items which soon grew into a passion. After dabbling in selling our wares at an outdoor flea market for several years, we decided to move the sale to the farmstead in 2001. We had been brainstorming for several years on how to make the barn sales a year around event when some properties became available in Hartford. We toured a couple properties but decided they were a bit too ambitious of a project for us. Bob kept thinking about the church and said "too bad you didn't like it." After reminding him that I hadn't seen it, we set up a meeting with the realtor and I immediately fell in love with
it's beautiful architecture and stained glass windows. On March 31, 2016, we became the proud new owners of the former First Congregational Church building on the corner of Branch and Church Streets. Built in 1853, it is one of the oldest churches in Washington County and we are only the second owners in 164 years! We feature an eclectic mix of antique, vintage and gently used newer items for your home, as well as items for your garden. We also offer stained glass classes as well as stained glass supplies and repairs.

Just a friendly reminder, we are closed this weekend BUT...we are open today, 10am-5pm! Sorry for the wonky hours lately...

I haven't focused much on the antiques lately but there is new stuff coming in daily. I've been purging at home and bringing in things faster than I can get them arranged and priced. I haven't posted pictures because it's a bit chaotic in that half of the shop right now and my employees are useless! Every time I turn around, they're either sleeping, hiding or staring out the window, daydreaming! Bear with me as I do a little reset...or more like a lot of reset! There is a lot of great stuff coming in and new fall items are making their way into the shop too.
Also, just a friendly reminder...we will be closed the next 2 Saturdays but will be open on Friday, August 7th and Thursday, August 13th in lieu of those two Saturdays.

While I was looking through my phone for all the student project pictures, I realized I must have missed posting pics from one of our Garden Stake Workshops! I just love to see how everyone puts their own personality into the design!
We're putting the garden stakes on hiatus for awhile but I'm sure they will surface in the rotation again.
The next workshops are the Kaleidoscope Windchime on August 30th from 12-4pm and our Halloween themed workshop on September 27th from 12-4pm.

We had a great visit last Friday from The Wisconsin Explorer. Bob gave each of them a lesson on how to cut glass and also a lesson on soldering. They were both lucky enough to have done stained glass in high school so they were great students!
