Our 250th birthday as a country is something to celebrate.
Something to be proud of and thankful for.
It’s a milestone moment that comes but once, and is one that so many gave all to ensure.
So with those thoughts in mind—way back in March—I started painting.
Below is a limited supply of hand-painted commemorative 250th American Birthday Uncle Sam’s—each one different, but all verrrrry quirky—on old tongue-and-groove dresser drawer panels (thanks, dear Uncle Charlie!), one of my favorite canvases.
I love ‘em, and I’ve enjoyed creating these tremendously.
I may do a few more before July 4th—the actual day—but that depends mostly on logistics…there’s only so many dresser drawer panels left in the world to save!

Otherwise, have a very safe and happy 250th birthday, everyone!
Note: Since I’m not done having fun with creating these quirky Uncke Sams just yet, the plan is to keep right on making them—but with different messages in their signs. Next up: “VOTE!”
