Kally and Daniel’s fall wedding at Hotel Peter & Paul was the perfect reflection of the season. The day began with the couple and their closest friends venturing into the French Quarter for an absinthe tasting, adding a distinctly New Orleans experience before the wedding festivities even began.
Their ceremony took place beneath the soaring ceiling of the historic church, where weathered walls, warm architectural tones, and rows of black bentwood chairs created a naturally dramatic backdrop. Candlelight framed the aisle, while lush arrangements of deep burgundy florals and greenery shaped the altar, bringing a moody, romantic touch to the already breathtaking space.
Then came the reception entrance, and Daniel understood the assignment. Taking the mic to sing Mr. Brightside by The Killers, he gave everyone the perfect play on words for the newly married Walbrights. An entrance that was equal parts unexpected, personal, and unforgettable.
The reception carried the moody autumn palette throughout, with wooden tables dressed in burgundy runners, towering brass candelabras, and clusters of candlelight illuminating the deep, rich florals. A family-style dinner brought everyone together around the table, creating an atmosphere that felt intimate, warm, and effortlessly romantic. Every detail worked together to make the room feel intimate.
And because no New Orleans wedding is complete without a second line, the celebration spilled into the streets as Kally and Daniel led their guests through the French Quarter to the Cats Meow for the after-party. From absinthe to candlelight to a second line straight into the night, this was fall in New Orleans at its finest. 🖤
