Bittersweet
Just a few days over a year ago, I opened the door at 709 West First St with a sign in the window that said “All-Eclectic.” It was the date for the 2021 Hastings downtown ArtWalk and the day I met Karrie Steely, a wonderful artist from the McCook area, sharing space with me to show our art along with some antiques, collectibles and whimsical contraptions I’d made from wondering “what if?”
A year has passed - a wonderful year of new friends, kind and generous, and new adventures and new hopes (and new aches and pains) - and the door is closing, which I knew all along would happen, but the experience of doing it has been wonderful and there are new “what if?” opportunities to explore, so let’s close it with a bang, not a whimper.
GARAGE SALE! (Bang!) everything goes, with everything repriced at significant discounts.
Sale starts at 3:30 pm on Friday, October 7 until 8:30, then resumes Saturday morning at 9:00 am and ends (forever) at 3:30 pm … 24 hours of bargains at 709 west First St in Hastings, next door to Purgatory Pie, also open on Friday, starting at 4:00 pm.
