some friends of ours made some plans to stop by wednesday and check on us in person. julie and her husband terrance. was a good visit from some fellow, compassionate members of the body of Christ. julie and terrance have had some battles of their own. some of which are ongoing still. julie writes about her struggles/experiences and i noticed that today's post was around their visit with us. if you would like, check out her blog post for today and join them on their journey.

this song really spoke right to me this morning. tracy posted it on her page this morning and i had to share. it's about a family in our exact situation.

willow had a good night. we transitioned from god directed friends to the ronald macdonald house on campus. it was hard leaving the lovely quiet peaceful nest our friends had prepared. literally nourished us. i felt God in their sacrifice as with the uplifting words everybody has been sending. i read each one and click like to let you know i received your message of comfort. tracy was having a hard time this morning, but seems to be doing better. her mom n dad are here and oliver got to snuggle in with us last night. he can't get enough ninja turtles or angry birds. he has been asking about heaven and what's going in with his little sister. was a bit confused about what we were doing being gone for longer than he's ever experienced. even tho he never, never, never, never ever wanted to come home from mamaw's house, he did have several questions that i tried to answer the best i knew how. we carefully selected some photos to show him what mommy and i were doing in the other room with willow. he's slowly in his own way trying to understand the new dynamic, new paradigm we all find ourselves in. we are both still at a peace. a big part of comfort has been the confidence we have had in her care givers. almost a gut reaction, discernment that we are in good hands. thank you all for your concern.
