Expecting a few new homespuns in this week.
There is also a pattern coming that will use a panel on its way to the shop. We will be making "Spooky Moon" kits. I usually do not order a lot of Halloween fabrics, usually just Fall, but for some reason, there have been a number of Halloween lines this year that have just "spooked" to me...I just hope they "spooked" to you, too, and I see you in the shop "haunting" them soon!👽🤠👻

A week ago I posted photos of Pam Buda's newest line "Black Sheep".
Today I cut kits for sale and one for the shop's newest piecer, Tina. Tina will pick it up in a few days and get to work on making a shop sample.
If you have not been in to see this line, you are missing some drop-dead gorgeous fabrics! They are all in black, cream, taupe, and grey...with just a tiny touch of a rusty red in many of the prints...I am telling ya, they are sooooo pretty! If you missed them or have not had time to stop by to see them, just go to my website and type in the search bar "Black Sheep" to see them!
There are two different kits made with the "Black Sheep" fabrics.
Choose from the Stars Block kit (note the middle is a cheater fabric), or you may want to make the one with the Log Cabin Block; the middle is a cheater, too! Either kit is just beautiful, with easy piecing and reproduction fabrics; you can't go wrong with either kit! I can't hardly wait to see the finished sample!

I absolutely LOVE quilting old quilts that were made a generation or so ago.
Marie Bernadett Geans mother made this quilt using scraps of fabric left from making clothing for her family.
Marie said her mother had not finished the quilt, so she made a few more of the 6-pointed stars (may I interject here, those are not the easiest block to piece) and also added the border. Marie said the border is fabric from her stash that she just happened to have enough yardage for.
Marie takes great joy in this quilt as she remembers her mom making western shirts for herself; her mom also made shirts for Marie's stepfather and Marie's younger brother.
Marie said she inherited this unfinished quilt from her mother's estate. Once her sisters saw it, they realized they had not known what a jewel that had escaped their grasp.

3 new Halloween prints to go along with some I have in the shop. Replacement of the Highland Cow embroidery blocks. Replacement of 3 hand quilting threads.
Several replacement notions.
Replacement needles, but the packaging has changed again, I see!
Bohin of France is now back in the house! A welcome sight to see that they are once again shipping to the USA!
And then the old standby pattern "Yellow Brick Road" is one we can do over and over with different fabrics, and it gives the feeling of real joy!
As always, I have added the link to each photo, or you can stop by the shop soon to see them all! My new hours won't change until July, so we are open as usual now!
