Today, on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate Mary and the beautiful ways she is honored in sacred spaces across the country.

Over the years, St. Jude Liturgical Arts Studio has been blessed to help create, restore, and install countless Marian shrines, statues, altars, mosaics, and devotional spaces throughout the United States. Each project is different, but every one is created with the same purpose: to draw hearts closer to Christ through His Blessed Mother.

For more than 60 years, St. Jude Shop has been more than a religious goods store — it has been a family tradition rooted in faith, service, and love for the Catholic Church.

“God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you.” — Matthew 16:22

Peter loved Jesus. He loved Him so deeply that when Jesus spoke of the suffering that was to come, Peter’s instinct was immediate: No. There has to be another way.

How often do we do the same?

We ask God to remove the struggle. Change the plan. Make the road easier. Spare us—or someone we love—from the cross we never would have chosen.

But today’s Gospel reminds us that God’s plan is often bigger than what we can understand in the moment.

Peter saw suffering.
Jesus saw salvation.

Peter saw a cross to avoid.
Jesus saw a cross that would redeem the world.

Sometimes faith isn’t understanding why. Sometimes faith is simply saying, “Jesus, I trust You enough to follow You anyway.”

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24

Whatever cross you are carrying today, you are not carrying it alone. Trust. Follow. Surrender.

May we have the courage to stop asking God only for the easier road—and instead ask for the grace to faithfully walk the road He has placed before us.

Back to school, but take your FAITH with you.

A new school year means new teachers, new routines, new friendships and new opportunities—but the same faith that carries us through every season.

Back to school, but take your FAITH with you.

As backpacks get packed, schedules get busy, and our kids head back into the classroom, it’s the perfect time to remind them that God goes with them wherever they go. 🤍

And for the DiCocco Family, it’s been our life’s work for more than six decades.

For over 65 years, from St. Jude Shop to St. Jude Liturgical Arts Studio and Liturgical Exchange, our family has shared one mission: to bring Christ into everything we do.

Whether it’s a rosary wrapped around your wrist, a Bible opened on your nightstand, a statue of Our Blessed Mother in your garden, or a sacred space designed to draw generations closer to God—faith never goes out of style.

We sell the sacramentals that become part of your family’s story. We preserve and repurpose sacred furnishings so they can serve another generation. And through our Liturgical Arts Studio, we design, fabricate, restore and install the altars, shrines, statuary, stained glass, mosaics, furnishings and architectural elements that become part of the lasting legacy of our churches and cathedrals.

There is something incredibly beautiful about knowing that long after our work is finished, the faith it serves continues. Children will be baptized there. Couples will be married there. Families will receive the Eucharist there. Generations will kneel, pray and encounter Christ there.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose life reminds us that every moment is an opportunity to seek and serve God.

After a profound conversion, St. Ignatius dedicated his life to helping others grow closer to Christ, leaving us with a timeless invitation to “find God in all things.”

As we celebrate his feast day, may we pause to pray for the grace to follow God’s will with courage, humility, and trust.
