It's time for our final CSA of the season!
The dahlias are coming more and more each day, the marigolds and zinnias are singing their late summer songs, and all the feathery filler is eager to be enjoyed.

This might just be my favorite bouquet capture of all time. The contrast is everything.
Also, I feel like it just encapsulates the day and even the love story being celebrated. A little darkness is a friend to a whole lot of light.

Cheer to Alana | NYC Wedding Photographer for always totally nailing it. And to Julia Dariychuk and Jordan for shining the brightest.

Eeek! Look how perfectly these ceremony florals translated into the reception tent!

Honestly, I'm all about repurposing your florals and maximizing your ceremony backdrop, but it does not always work out this perfectly. I'm pumped about how smooth this move was.

Both areas- ceremony and sweetheart table- frame the most important moments of the day. First married kiss, heartfelt speeches, forever promises. J & J shared all of these to the tune of years of growing in love surrounded by a beautiful community.

It is the hardest for me to share from the weddings that I get to flower for my friends and family- because how can I caption this kind of beauty that holds for me so much love and precious memories.

Jordan and Julia had the perfect May day- a little damp and very fresh- and I had the extreme joy of bringing the sunshine 🌞

Showing my face here to thank you all for an amazing season so far!

July always comes as a much needed reprieve from an eventful spring, and a chance to regroup for an often even busier fall. I love making your CSAs each week- they keep me in tune with what's coming and going in the garden in between wedding work. Staying grounded in the growing season while dreaming up designs for your big events keeps me inspired and energized. Play is work, work is play, I'm so grateful.

Looking ahead: I think we will take a break from CSAs in August to give the garden a chance to come into its high summer glory. We'll start back up in September with dahlias on their way. Stay tuned for those sign ups, and know that you can always reach out directly for a bouquet ANY time. There will still be loads of flowers blooming and I like it better when they are in your kitchens rather than my cooler ;)

Finally- For my fellow small business owners or friends who know one, check out Shelby | Lancaster, PA Photographer for your branding pic needs! She knows what's up, and I had a great time despite being a generally camera shy person. It feels really good to see yourself doing the thing! She also takes amazing family photos and more!

I'm so lucky I get to work with the most beautiful people and the best seasonal blooms. These are 80% from the First Light garden and foraged along some railroad tracks.

The lovely couple lives just a couple streets over!

I πŸ’› local love ;)

So many inspiring things about this June reception...

1. Stunning greenhouse location Hueter's Greenhouses
2. Intimate size
3. Color palette to accent and enhance the surrounding lushness
4. Dynamic ikebana inspired centerpieces- they fit every style!

I didn't get to see this come together at drop off on the day and I am totally blown away by how cohesive and gorgeous it all is!

Take notes from Karly Blair and enlist Britt D'Agostino for your photos!
