Norman's Ranchwear Montana's Finest Western Store About Norman's Ranch & Sportswear
Norman's Ranch and Sportswear has been in business in Havre, MT, since 1954.

Norman's is owned by Scott and Kaye Young. Jack Norman, Kaye's father, started the business in 1954 as The GI Store. In previous years he was partner with another war veteran in a GI surplus store in Lewistown, MT. Their slogan was "Two GI's with Real Buys". Jack slowly began to shift the product line to cater more to family ranchers and farmers. He changed the name of the store to Norman's Ranch and Sportswear in 1960. Scott was raised in the Bear Paw Mountains in Blaine County. Kaye grew up in Havre. They married in 1970, and ranched with Scott's parents, Bill and Una Young. In 1974, they bought a hay ranch in Harlem, MT, and developed a feed lot. While living there they were blessed with three daughters, Jolyn, Jamie, and Jennifer. Then, in 1981, they purchased a small ranch at Grass Range. They ranched there until 1982, when they found out that Kaye's dad was considering getting out of the business. They moved to Havre and worked at the store for five years to learn the business, and finally purchased it from Kaye's parents. The store has not changed much since they first took it over. "It's pretty much the same store," Scott says. "Many of the same families still shop here." Norman's stocks the highest quality brands on the market such as Cinch, Wrangler, Cruel Girl, Pendleton, Kenetrek, Hondo, Ariat, and Danner, just to name a few. Levi's, Wolverine, and Montana Silversmith will also be found on their shelves. Giving the best customer service is the number one priority at Norman's. The Youngs and their staff offer free gift wrapping, and will open the store by appointment if the customer is not able to make it during business hours. Scott and Kaye are also very involved in the community. Scott was instrumental to bringing the state high school rodeo to Havre for three years in the early 90's. Scott was also one of the founding members of the MSU-N Rodeo Team Booster Club, which raises money for the team each year. Norman's supports 4-H club, Miss Rodeo Montana, and Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame. Scott and Kaye's daughter Jamie recently graduated from Law school and practices here in Havre. Their daughter Jennifer works at the Tilleman Chervrolet dealership in Havre. She is blessed with four beautiful children, Brody, Jasper, Jade, and Joey.
