🌿✨ One Last Little Gift From the Weekend ✨🌿

Before heading home to my Xena—who was once again in the best hands with Michelle Green (thank you for always taking such wonderful care of my girl 🐾🖤)—we decided to squeeze in one last bit of magic and grounding.

Our Airbnb host had included some local hiking spots in her welcome guide, so we ventured into the woods of New Hampshire and explored the Manchester Cedar Swamp Preserve.

And I hiked almost TWO MILES! 💪🌲 (I do need to remember to keep hiking sneakers in the van from now on so I’m making a note of that) 👟

This wasn’t exactly an easy little stroll, either. There were roots, rocks, hills, damp ground and plenty of places where I had to pay attention to every step. And for anyone who knows me I’m not the most balanced person 😆 But I did it—and it was so worth it.

The air was fresh. The forest was still and quiet. There’s something about being surrounded by trees that makes the noise of everything else disappear for a while. (Hence why my name is Woodsy Witch - I belong amongst the trees 🌳 🌲) No rushing. No lists. No expectations. Just breathing, walking, listening and connecting.

Along the way, I was given a few little gifts from the universe, discovered some tiny fairy circles 🍄🧚‍♀️ and felt that beautiful kind of calm that reaches somewhere much deeper than the body.

After such a busy week of creating, preparing and working, this entire weekend seemed to carry one message for me:

Slow down. Ground yourself. Notice the magic. Let yourself simply BE. (I was reminded of this last Sunday when I took the break and spent time with Jess).

And I listened. 🌿

I’m proud of myself for those almost two miles, but even more grateful that my body allowed me to experience them. Sometimes the greatest magic isn’t something we create with our hands—it’s already waiting for us beneath the trees, among the moss, hidden in tiny mushrooms and carried on the fresh forest air.

My body may be tired, but my soul feels a little lighter. 🖤🌲✨

Now… home to my girl. 🐾❤️

✨ Sometimes the universe knows exactly what you need… even before you do. ✨

This weekend was truly what my heart, soul, and spirit needed. Not only was the event incredible, and I had the most amazing surprise visit from a childhood friend, but the Airbnb I found for our stay ended up being a little sanctuary all on its own. 🌿✨

From the moment of booking our host was so kind and welcoming. She had created a detailed welcome guide filled with everything we could possibly need—from local parks and hiking trails to theaters, entertainment, and, of course, places to eat. Our private suite was spacious, comfortable, inviting, and had everything we needed for our stay.

But outside was where the real magic lived. 🌲

The entire property had this peaceful, sanctuary-like feeling that made you want to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply BE.

There was a beautiful treehouse with comfortable spaces to sit and meditate both above and below, a unique pool area that we absolutely would have enjoyed if the weather had been warmer, a cozy fire pit—and she even offered us s’mores fixings! 🔥 There was also an outdoor dining area and so many little spaces created simply for relaxing and enjoying your surroundings.

And, of course, we had to visit the Chick Inn to meet her girls! 🐓💕 Her beautiful chickens were very happy to have visitors, and that little experience somehow made the whole place even more charming.

After such a busy week of creating, preparing, traveling, and pouring so much of myself into my work, I didn’t realize just how badly I needed a place like this. A place where there was nothing I had to do. No rushing. No creating. No preparing for the next thing.

Just being.

Sometimes rest is part of the magic, too. 🌙🌿

We would absolutely love to stay here again. It wasn’t simply a place to sleep for the weekend—it became part of what made this weekend so special. It was exactly the little sanctuary my heart, soul, and spirit needed. 🖤✨

I am going home more grateful, recharged, inspired, and reminded that sometimes the universe gives us exactly the space we need to refill our own cup. 🌿

✨ My heart is so full tonight! ✨

Thank you to everyone who came out to The Witch Market in Tyngsboro, MA today, beautifully coordinated once again by The Tarot Goddess LLC! 🖤🔮

Every person who stops by my booth, supports my creations, follows my journey, shares a post, or simply takes a moment to chat with me keeps me motivated and inspired to continue creating and spreading a little magic wherever I go. 🌿✨

But today came with an extra-special surprise that truly warmed my heart. ❤️

My childhood friend Moira O'Reilly McCarthy, who I haven’t seen since 1987, saw on my Woodsy Witch page that I would be at the market and made a special stop just to come see me!

We’ve stayed connected through Facebook all these years, but seeing her standing there in person was something completely different. And somehow, even though it’s been… what… 15 or 20 years? 😆😂… it felt like only a few had passed. We fell right into conversation, catching up on life, family, memories, and everything in between.

Moments like this remind me how beautifully life can come full circle. Sometimes the universe places people back in your path at exactly the right moment just to remind you how far you’ve traveled. ✨

Today wasn’t only about selling my creations or sharing Woodsy Witch with new people. It was about connection, friendship, memories, gratitude, and magic showing up in unexpected ways.

Life is good. My heart is happy. And I am so incredibly blessed. 🖤🌙✨

✨🌿 THE LAST CONCOCTION OF THE WEEK 🌿✨

I think I saved one of my favorites for last… my handcrafted Florida Water! 🧙‍♀️💦

I started brewing this batch at the beginning of last week, and it has been steeping and infusing all week long. Today it was finally strained, bottled, labeled, and made ready for tomorrow’s event — and I am SO excited to put these beauties on my display!

I actually made Florida Water for my last event as a little trial product. That first batch wasn’t quite as intense, and I kept the bottles and labels much simpler because I wasn’t sure how people would respond.

Well… I made 6 bottles and sold 5. 😍 I’d say the universe gave me my answer!

So this time I went ALL IN — a stronger, more intentional batch with upgraded bottles and labels worthy of the magic inside. ✨

🌿 So what exactly is Florida Water?

Florida Water is a traditional aromatic preparation that has been used for generations in spiritual practices, folk traditions, cleansing rituals and everyday refreshing. It’s especially loved for energetic cleansing, purification, protection and clearing stagnant or unwanted energy. Many people use it before spellwork or divination, to cleanse ritual tools and sacred spaces, refresh an altar, prepare a room for spiritual work, or simply give the energy of a space a fresh start.

It can also be used as an aromatic home and linen refresher — I’ve been misting mine around the house, including my sofa and bed, and I LOVE how fresh everything feels afterward. 🌿✨

I’ve even been enjoying my personal batch as part of my own skincare routine. (As with any botanical product, patch test first and avoid the eyes or irritated skin.)

I saw this quote yesterday, and it was exactly what I needed to see after the week I’ve had. 💜

I’ve been SO busy—creating, working, planning, and feeling incredibly inspired. My mind has been going a mile a minute with new ideas, and when that creative energy hits, sometimes I forget to listen to the one thing that needs my attention too… my body.

Living with chronic fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety, and other medical conditions means that sometimes my body simply says, “Enough. You need to rest.”

And I’m not always very good at listening.

Sometimes we get so caught up in everything we need to do, everything we want to accomplish, and everything we’re excited about that we forget resting is productive too. We need to breathe. We need to recharge. We need to give ourselves permission to do absolutely nothing sometimes without feeling guilty about it.

I’m SO glad I gave myself that reset last Sunday because apparently I needed it even more than I realized.

Today we’re headed to Massachusetts for the weekend, and while my body is definitely reminding me how hard I pushed myself this week, I know when I see everything I’ve been working so hard to create finally displayed and ready to find its people, it’s going to feel worth it. 🖤✨

So here’s my reminder—to myself and maybe to someone else who needs to hear it today:

You can be inspired and still rest.
You can be productive and still take breaks.
You can chase the magic and still stop long enough to breathe.

Sometimes recharging is part of the magic. 🌿✨
