🎆 Fourth of July is around the corner, Hays! 🎆

As you plan your celebrations, the City of Hays Fire Department wants to make sure everyone stays safe and legal.

Remember, fireworks can only be legally discharged in city limits from July 2 through July 4, between 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM.

Keep these critical safety and legal boundaries in mind:
🚫 What’s Illegal: Bottle rockets, skyrockets on sticks/wires, and homemade fireworks are completely illegal.
📍 Where NOT to Shoot: It is illegal to shoot fireworks on public roadways/sidewalks, on or under vehicles, within 50 feet of a firework stand, or near gas stations/propane storage.
Buy from reliable, legitimate sources and let's keep our neighborhoods safe! 🚒❤️📸
