Keep a lookout for our small online shop launch this winter! I’ll be posting the art I make, the crystals I choose to put online, the jewelry I create, and other jewelry I decide to feature as I go. I’ll also share any vendor events (dates and locations) I sign up for, and I’ll be over at The Lot a few times next season as well.

Thanks so much for being supportive of my desire to go smaller, spend more time with my daughter, be able to create again, and have more time for a balanced life. I’ll forever cherish the memories, conversations, and special moments with you all- there were so many special moments!

Today is the day that starts 45% off everything. 10-5 today, Friday & Saturday!

It’s a bittersweet decision. It’s been an incredible summer, and this five-year journey of building my business from the ground up and growing it has been nothing short of an amazing experience. However, over the past couple of years, the storefront has started to make me feel caged.

What I’m truly craving right now is time—quality time, and weekends back with my daughter that feel truly free. I want to reconnect with nature, create art (something I haven’t had time for lately), and make room for family and friends. I’m craving a slower, simpler life.

With an online shop- l’ll be able to put it on “vacation mode” when I truly want to step away for a few days. Vendor events will let me work around my schedule with my daughter, get me outside more and let me pick and choose how much I want to work- hopefully with fun little side adventures along the way to and from different destinations.

I started preparing for this last year, but the timing didn’t feel right then. Now, everything in my life has aligned, and closing the storefront and taking this route feels perfect.

My apologies to those who love making River & Rain a yearly stop on their vacation (I’ve heard that so much this year and it’s hard not to feel like I’m letting people down in a sense)—but come January 1st, you’ll be able to shop online from anywhere. It will be a smaller version of the shop, but still truly beautiful crystals, jewelry, art and beautiful earthy scented items.

We have plans to set up and also do the gem digs for the kids a few times throughout the summer at The Lot, so I’ll be around the area some next summer.

The storefront will be open Thursdays through Saturdays for the next few weeks with huge discounts on everything (some displays for sale as well) We will close our doors immediately after Fall Fest.

After that, I’m going to take the rest of the fall to settle my daughter and I into our new-to-us home, spend quality time with her doing fun fall things, enjoy nature a bit more, and rest—something I haven’t had a lot of over the past five years.

I’ll launch the online shop this winter, so keep following along for that.

Mentally, I’m not quite ready for fall yet, but my body and spirit are ready to start slowing down and spend some time getting creative. My daughter and I are really looking forward to water coloring this book together. It’s full of cute, simplistic sketches to paint, along with helpful information to learn watercolor techniques and mixing to get the perfect shade of color.
