and Books on B gets to be this yearâs Best Bookstore in the Bay Area, according to SFGATEâs annual contest!
To have been even nominated in the same sentence as the iconic City Lights and Green Apple Books,
and the inspiring Telegraph Hill and Noe Valley Books surpassed our wildest dreams, but to be called the winner? Well....
There is no best when it comes to local independent bookstores, truly.
We are over the moon to have been chosen to be in the running this year,
and feel SO proud to have been the sole shop to represent the East Bay,
but our fellow bookstores are our family, where there isnât competition, but kindred spirits.
Your bookstore that feels like home to you; where you feel welcome,
to discover, challenge, express,
and lose yourself, is the best.
Now more than ever, bookstores are necessary for our wellbeing;
to our loving, loyal customers who consider us essential to their community, you vote for us year-round with your support.
