South Hayward Market recap: we’re still feeling so grateful for everyone who showed up and made this day special. First, a huge thank you to West Coast Makers—we knew you would elevate this market, but you truly blew us away. From the vendors to the carnival-style Kid Zone, you brought the kind of energy and experience our community deserves, and we’re thankful you made time for us in your busy schedule.
Next, we’re proud that our entertainment was local talent—our own neighbors bringing the vibe. Shoutout to DJ Feflo for the amazing mixes and for intentionally hyping up our youth performers, and thank you Los de Hayward for a performance that had everyone impressed by how young and talented you are.
Big appreciation to GMAA for being our sound team and partners—your youth and staff kept the sound crisp, and thank you for letting us borrow your stage so our performers felt fully supported. Special shoutout to Eden Youth’s Substance Use Prevention Manager, Cynthia, who wasn’t scheduled but still stepped up when we hit sound challenges—showing up with their family and bringing the inflatable dome that really highlighted the stage.
And of course, thank you to the Eden Youth staff and volunteers who make this whole thing possible. Eden Youth doesn’t even have an event manager, but the team always steps up for the community—especially Edith, our HR Manager, who jumped into logistics, helped coordinate staff and volunteers, and often serves as our bilingual MC. The care and teamwork shows in every moment.
Finally, we want to thank St. Rose Hospital and Alameda Health System for hosting us. We’re honored to build community at such a historic South Hayward staple—and we’re only able to keep growing this market because we found the perfect space to grow at your location.
