☀️ Our AAWRA June Barn Chatter ☀️

Good Morning, AAWRA Families! Looking to beat the heat this summer?

We still have a few morning lesson slots available on Mondays and Tuesdays! If you’d like to reserve a spot, please get with Mrs. Brittney for more information.

💧Summer Hydration Reminder💧

As temperatures continue to rise, please make sure all students bring a water bottle or other hydrating beverage to every lesson. Remember, hydration starts before you arrive at the barn! Coming to lessons already hydrated helps students stay comfortable, focused, and safe while working around horses.

⭐️ Friendly Dress Code Reminder ⭐️

To help maintain a safe and professional learning environment, we will be closely enforcing our dress code policy moving forward.

Student should arrive appropriately dressed for riding lessons. We understand that summer temperatures can be challenging. Riders may wear shorts; however, shorts should be of an appropriate length and fit for a family friendly equestrian environment. Bike shorts and similar athletic styles are welcome. Shorts that do not meet AAWRA’s dress code standards for appropriate coverage are not permitted.

Tennis shoes and oversized shirts are also not permitted.

Students are expected to have their hair secured in a low ponytail, braid, or bun underneath their helmet. Bangs must also be secured and completely clear of the eyes. Properly secured hair allows helmets to fit correctly and helps eliminate distractions while riding and working around horses.

Our dress code is designed to promote safety, comfort, and professionalism while ensuring all students can participate confidently in a positive learning environment. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support as we continue to provide the best possible experience for our riders.

Some of the most important lessons we teach don't always happen in the saddle.

They happen while filling water buckets, hanging hay bags, mucking stalls, grooming dirty coats, and simply learning to put a horse's needs before your own.

This photo is a perfect example.

At AAWRA, we believe that caring for the horse is every bit as important as riding the horse.

Watching our students take pride in those responsibilities, whether it’s hanging a hay bag, filling a water bucket, grooming before saddling, or making sure their horse is cooled out, comfortable, and cared for after a hard ride, is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do🙂

Please join us in congratulating Heaven as our AAWRA Student of the Month!

Heaven consistently comes to lessons with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a kind heart. She works hard to improve her horsemanship skills both in and out of the saddle, always giving her best effort and showing respect for her horse, instructors, and fellow riders.

One of the things that stands out most about Heaven is her determination. She isn’t afraid to try new things, ask questions, and keep working toward her goals. Her growth and confidence in the barn have been wonderful to watch, and we are so proud of all she has accomplished.

Thank you, Heaven, for being such a wonderful part of our barn family. Keep up the great work💗We can’t wait to see all that you achieve next!

Today was a big day for this sweet girl as she officially graduated up to a headstall! 🤠🐴

Moving from a sidepull to a headstall is an exciting milestone that reflects growing confidence, developing horsemanship skills, and increased independence in the saddle. Sunnie has worked hard, listened carefully, and comes to every lesson eager to soak up all the horse knowledge she can. Her enthusiasm for learning and willingness to grow have made this milestone well deserved!

We are so proud of her progress and can’t wait to watch her continue to learn, grow, and achieve new goals.

We’ve been making some exciting updates around AAWRA, and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy them!

Our student area and seating area have been given a fresh new look to create a better experience for our barn families, and this week we’ll also be introducing a new community board where families can stay connected with monthly award recipients, important barn announcements, and all things AAWRA Barn Chatter.

We’ll also have printed copies of our Monthly AAWRA Barn Chatter available at the barn, so be sure to grab one to take home! We hope it gives families an easy way to stay informed, stay connected, and keep up with everything happening around the barn.

Most importantly, we want all of our barn families and visitors to feel comfortable while spending time with us. If you or a family member have difficulty walking to the arena seating area, please speak directly with Mrs. Brittney. When ground conditions safely allow, we’re happy to accommodate by allowing a vehicle to be driven closer to the arena for easier access.

AAWRA has always been about more than lessons. It’s about building knowledgeable horsemen and horsewomen, growing confidence, igniting a lifelong passion for horses, and giving students the skills and foundation to pursue any direction their journey may take them within the horse industry. From strong horsemanship fundamentals to personal growth and goal achievement, we are committed to helping our students learn, grow, and thrive both in and out of the saddle.

Today we celebrated a very special young horsewoman♥️

Paisley, watching your journey has been such a joy. Your love for horses, dedication to learning, and determination to keep growing continue to shine each time you step into the barn. You show up willing to work hard, learn from every experience, and give your best…and that kind of dedication does not go unnoticed.

Receiving the AAWRA Horsewoman’s Dedication Award is such a special and well deserved accomplishment. We are so proud of the horsewoman you are becoming and cannot wait to watch where this journey takes you.

AAWRA Weekly Barn Chatter

Good morning, everyone! We have a busy and exciting week ahead at the barn!

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Reminder 🇺🇸
We would also like to wish all of our barn families a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Please note that AAWRA will remain open and lessons will continue as scheduled today.

This week, we’ll be wrapping up all makeup lessons while also keeping up with our regular lesson schedule. It’s going to be a full one!

We’ll also be presenting our monthly awards this week 🎉 Stay tuned to see who will be chosen! We are so incredibly proud of our students. We know we say it often, but we truly mean it. We are blessed with some of the very best students and barn families, and watching everyone grow and succeed is one of our greatest joys!

Rescheduling availability will be sent out this morning! Be on the lookout for a message or text to confirm your child’s updated lesson day and time.

📍Wed–Fri Morning Makeup Availability

This week we will have single rider makeup lesson slots available Wednesday through Friday mornings with Mrs. Brittney. If you need a morning makeup lesson scheduled, please reach out!

☀️ Looking Ahead to June…
We’ll soon be announcing morning lesson availability for all students! If you’re hoping to beat the summer heat and enjoy cooler ride times, this may be the perfect fit for your schedule.

We will also be opening up a 6:15 lesson slot on specific days beginning in June! More details on availability and scheduling will be announced soon, so keep an eye on our page.

🎓💗 Legend was proud to help cheer on one of his youngest riders as she graduates and heads into her next school year! From learning in the saddle to learning in the classroom, whether at school or through homeschooling, we believe education matters in every part of life.

We are so incredibly proud of all of our students and the hard work they put into both riding and their academic journeys.

🤠🐴Weekly AAWRA Barn Chatter🐴🤠

Good morning, everyone!

We want to start this week off by saying thank you to all of our wonderful lesson families for being so understanding and flexible while Mrs. Brittney was under the weather. We know schedule changes are never convenient, and we truly appreciate everyone working with us so graciously.

We also want to give a big thank you to Mrs. Kasey for stepping in to help last week while Miss Megan was away. Having her willing to jump in and support our students and horses means more than we can say, and we are so thankful for her help around the barn!

A special thank you also goes out to Mr. Bobby for getting our fence repaired and helping keep our horses safe. So much happens behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, and we are incredibly thankful for people who are always willing to lend a hand when needed.

And speaking of exciting things…

Mrs. Megan officially starts back today! We know many smiling faces will be excited to see her back in the arena this week♥️

For any parents needing a rescheduled lesson date from this week, please keep an eye out today for the reschedule sheet. Those will be sent out through either text or messenger.

Thank you all for continuing to make AAWRA feel like such a special little community. We truly have the best barn family.
