Hummingbird migration is underway, and apparently our feeder is the busiest rest stop on the route. 😂 They’re fueling up for the long trip south—but nobody is willing to wait their turn.

Flower farming looks pretty, but behind those buckets of blooms is a whole lot of bending, hauling, cutting, lifting and walking. 🌸😂

I’ve been adding Revive Magnesium Glycinate to my nighttime routine after long days on the farm. Because apparently growing flowers also requires maintaining the flower farmer.

You can find it in my Amazon Storefront — link in my profile.
Gifted product/free sample from Revive Supplements.

Three special bouquets 🤍

One full centerpiece and two smaller coordinating bouquets, designed with flowers grown and gathered right here at Route E Blooms.

There is something incredibly meaningful about being trusted to create flowers for life’s most important moments.

The Route E Blooms Flower Bar is open for the weekend 🌸

Pick your bouquet size, grab your focal flowers, add some accents, finish it off with filler and greenery, then wrap it up or take a jar.

Snips, rubber bands, kraft flower bags and flower food are all here for you.

Basically, you get to play florist for a few minutes and leave with something pretty. 💐

And I have a feeling this little Flower Bar may be popping up in a few other places too… 👀 Perfect for community pop-ups, showers, parties and special events.

This is the first cantaloupe I have ever grown, and I am officially spoiled now.

I went out to check the garden this morning and this one basically slipped right off the vine. The outside looked a little rough and cracked, so I wasn’t even sure it would be good. But I could smell it just holding it, which felt promising.

Then I cut it open.

SO juicy. Beautiful orange flesh. Sweet, fresh, and honestly the best cantaloupe I’ve ever tasted.

I’ve bought plenty of cantaloupe over the years, but apparently letting one ripen completely on the vine is a whole different experience. Now I understand why people get so excited about homegrown melons.

And thankfully, I grew a few more of the same variety. So now I’ll be out there inspecting them daily like some kind of cantaloupe security guard waiting for the next one to slip. 😂

First homegrown cantaloupe: huge success.
