We took the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma bass showdown to Red McCombs Toyota! We grabbed some volunteers to step into the "hot seat," experience the raw impact of each subwoofer setup, and give us their unfiltered, gut-level feedback.

What a beautiful, full-circle kind of day we’re having here at Taco Tunes!

There is a special kind of magic in the air today as we install one of our latest Powered Subwoofer solutions into a s 2025 Toyota Tacoma. Seeing the evolution of these trucks—this one a crisp non-hybrid—always fills us with so much excitement for the future of sound.
But the real heart of our day came from a surprise visit that took us right down memory lane.

A Blast from the Past
A long-time customer stopped by with a piece of equipment that finally retired after over 10 years of faithful service. She bought her Tundra brand new with the tacotunes audio system pre-installed at Red McCombs Toyota here in San Antonio TX over a decade ago, and in all that time, she never had to call us once.
The best part? She found her way back to us simply because our name, Taco Tunes, stayed tucked away in her heart all these years.

After a local shop unfortunately cut into his factory wiring and fried the factory amplifier, Erik’s 2025 JBL Equipped Hybrid Tundra was left with no audio at all.

We spent the next 3 days meticulously repairing the damaged wiring and upgrading him to our 2022+ JBL Tundra System 1B alongside full sound deadener!
