Helper General will be shuttering its doors on February 25. It's been wonderful running Helper General, but it's time to retire from our retirement project. I'm looking forward to focusing on my own art projects and to having the time and energy to take part in all the great things happening in Helper!

Good news! I'm up and running--okay, more shuffling than running. But Helper General will be open today and this weekend. Stop by, say hi, and see our new lamps, wreaths, and faux floral arrangements.

Well, my grand New Year "reorganize, declutter and renew" project is NOT going according to plan. My increasingly old and decrepit body (and mind) launched a work protest that landed me in the hospital last weekend. I'm back home now and doing well but Helper General and Desert Rose will remain closed through next week while I take it easy. Many thanks for everyone's good wishes and patience!

De-cluttering starts with the big one. This marvelous painting blocks the connecting door between Helper General and Desert Rose spaces. It needs a new home! It's big, beautiful and totally unique.

As a Gemini, it is an ongoing challenge to get the two sides of my brain working in tandem. 2026 is seeing some progress. I am combining my two shops into a single store! Helper General and Desert Rose Papers willl be connected with a single entrance at 132 S Main St. making it possible for customers to conveniently shop our entire collection of housewares, art, decorative papers and gifts. Both shops are closed while I reorganize, move displays around, de-clutter and prepare a lovely passage way between the two spaces. Check this page over the next week as I post some of the “de-cluttered” items for sale or takeaway. Looking forward to an exciting New Year!
