Healthy grasslands depend on movement, and bison have been doing that job naturally for thousands of years.
Unlike animals that tend to stay concentrated in one area, bison move for miles across the landscape as they graze. That movement helps prevent overuse, supports plant diversity, and gives grasses time to recover and regrow.
It is one of the many reasons bison continue to play such an important role in healthy ecosystems and regenerative land management today.
