I want to take a moment to dispell and debunk a myth.

I get asked many many times over... if someone is growing organically, naturally, or sustainable they must not spay correct?

Answer- no matter if your organic or natural or even sustainable and its a larger commercial farm you almost 95% have to use the natural and or organic materials designed to prevent disease and insects.

Simply put- "Yes" you spray.

The difference is conventional products are man made or syntheticlly produced.

Organic and naturally occurring materials are fermented from soil or good bacteria. Some are flower oils pressed, some are clays mined from the earth.

Residual effects are different for each classification or materials used also. And degradation periods are different on the fruit and leaf surface as well.

You generally have about 5 classifications of farming practices.
1- conventional
2- certified organic
3- naturally grown
4- sustainable
5- no spray/fertilizer use
Each with its own ups and downs, and each with its own personal preferences from farmer to farmer.

Hope this helps disell myths on growing practices..

We are weeks away from the Apple Festival now, and we wanted to remind everyone that apples are in somewhat of a short supply across the country this year and even here growers are light on varieties as well. We are light this season on several varieties so of theres something your wanting to pick up from us, you may want to pre-oder in advance just to make sure we dont sale out.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Stop by and let us know how you like the tent design and layout.

Peach update for everyone asking...

Im sorry but there just wasn't enough that survived the April freeze to produce any quantity or quality fruit. Hopefully next season mother nature will be more forgive on the peaches.

Fingers keeping crossed that the hail will keep its distance from the apples as things are looking good at this point.

๐ŸŽ Meet: Twisted Apple
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ 4 Years at the NC Apple Festival
๐Ÿ“ Main & Barnwell

Over the next few months, we're introducing you to the 14 growers who make the NC Apple Festival possible. We'll start at the south end of Main Street and work our way north, one grower at a time. ๐Ÿ

Twisted Apple is Western North Carolina's first naturally and sustainably grown apple farm, offering a unique approach to growing delicious apples and apple products.

When asked about their favorite part of the Festival, they shared:
๐Ÿ’ฌ "Saturdays when it's super busy and you get to meet so many returning customers and new ones as well."

And what keeps them coming back?
๐Ÿ’ฌ "People keep wanting and asking for more naturally grown goodies. The growth has doubled each year we've been a part of the Festival."

Be sure to stop by and say hello this Labor Day weekend! โค๏ธ

We hate to keep cleaning up misinformation, but we will do so until the misinformation becomes the correct info.

Yes, we are still open and selling naturally grown. The stand did not get opened this year, but we will be back in full swing next season.

In the meantime if you want fruit please feel free to DM us or call one of us and will be glad to set up a pick up time that works for everyone.

Again, we are sorry for the hiccup this season but its just that a hiccup. Nothing permanent!
