This girl! 🌳…(one of my Anna apple 🍎 trees ) is such an over achiever!!! She’s in full bloom AGAIN and has set fruit for the second time this year!!!

I’ve already gotten close to 1000 of apples 🍎 off her earlier, and she’s going again… 😮 🤩

We extended the orchard with new fencing and solar lights 💗

The recent storms have decimated our Pink Lady trees… sadly 😞 … (there is probably only about 20-30 apples left on the tree)

So we will be CLOSING the farm stand until SEPTEMBER 1 when the Golden Delicious should be ready.

We are also in the process of putting in new fencing around the orchard and getting the spots for the new trees plotted out; as we will be putting in 12 new heritage trees this winter. This break in August will ensure we have the time and energy to complete the projects as needed.

Thank you friends and neighbors for your continued support of all our agriculture in our community! I firmly believe agriculture should be locally based in communities as much as possible… doing so produces community self reliance and local economic support- the great necessary duo!

Coming in September we will have the wonderful Fall flavors of :
-homemade apple cider/apple butter
-Apple cider donuts 🍩
-pies and cookies and fritter bread
-and of course always $5 apple bags

Bittersweet moment… Last of my Anna apples 🍎 have been sold today!! That was over 1500 #’s of Anna apples that I sold or used this year!!! AMAZING 🤩!!!

Thank you all who became lovers of the Anna apple 🍎 just like me … I had several customers that came back every week and got a bag 💗

But don’t worry 😉… Little Red Hen Orchard still has more apples 🍎 🍏 coming down the line!!!….,

Pink Lady’s apples 🍎 are almost ripe… within 2 weeks I will be loading the farm stand with this new delicious variety!
Golden Delicious 🍏 apples are also almost ripe!! Look for both varieties next month!!!
You can continue to find local ORGANIC fruit available throughout the summer and fall season!!! And this winter the orchard is expanding with 10 NEW HERITAGE VARIETIES, and additional cherries 🍒 and peaches 🍑 as well !!

The farm stand will continue to have apple butter jars /apple juice NOW-
and apple fritter breads on Saturdays!!!

Thank you all again who support local organic small agriculture!!! This is healthy food for everyone in our community, and it’s my passion and I sooo enjoy sharing it with you ALL 💗!!!
