The Bargain Loft The Bargain Loft is a thrift shop benefitting Reston-Herndon FISH, a volunteer, nonsectarian, nonprofit, providing assistance to local residents in need.

Proceeds from The Bargain Loft Thrift Shop benefit Herndon-Reston FISH, Inc. is a volunteer, nonsectarian, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing Friendly Instant Sympathetic Help to local residents in short-term crises. FISH has assisted Herndon-Reston residents since 1969. FISH responds to assistance requests for rent, utilities, prescriptions, medical items, and other emergency needs. Our

goal is to prevent an eviction, keep utilities from being turned off, and help people pay for necessary medications. As a member of the Connections for Hope Partnership, FISH works closely with social workers from Fairfax County, local hospitals and other non-profit organizations. Herndon-Reston FISH, Inc. operates an Information and Referral Service, funded by a grant from Fairfax County, which provides callers with sources of long and short-term assistance in Fairfax County. Services may be available from public or private agencies. FISH also offers Financial Workshops in English and Spanish to help families with financial literacy.
